Keeping on top of your house cleaning

It’s nice to have a clean home, but that doesn’t mean it’s easy to stay on top of the cleaning and ensure that your home looks great throughout the week. However, it doesn’t have to be too hard. We’re here with a few tips for you to up your cleaning game so when your friends come over and compliment your dedication to cleaning, you can laugh and say that it was nothing.

Run a vacuum cleaner over your furniture

The vacuum cleaner isn’t only for the floor. Dust gathers on your furniture too. Depending on the type of furniture, you can wipe or vacuum. Choose to vacuum everything covered in cloth because wiping will only smear the dirt all over. Run the vacuum cleaner over your chairs and sofa to get the dust off. If your vacuum has a crevice tool, use it to clean those hard-to-reach areas so that your furniture can look brand new again!

Put bathroom cleaner in a spray bottle

The easiest way to apply cleaner to your shower area, toilet, bathroom floor, and even mirror is to spray it. Simply put your cleaner of choice into a cleaning bottle, diluting it if necessary. Give your bathroom a good spray and proceed to scrub and wipe. Pay attention to detail when it comes to your mirrors, bathroom tiles, and toilet bowl – these are the things that you are most likely to notice and are therefore the things that, when cleaned, will make the entire bathroom look spotless.

Wipe down your kitchen cabinets

Oil and grease won’t just stay in the pan. It will splatter as you cook, getting all over the backsplash, the counters, and the cabinets. A lot of people remember to clean the first two but forget the last one. Use some white vinegar to wipe down your cabinets and make them look clean and oil-free.

Transform your stainless steel

When neglected, your stainless steel appliances will end up looking grimy and dull. Fortunately, you can restore it to its former glory with the help of a few things you’ve already got in your home. Grab your favourite liquid detergent and mix it with a cup of hot water. Use a microfiber cloth to apply the mixture on to your stainless steel appliances. Then, rinse and wipe, repeating the process until the soap is completely wiped off. Grab another microfiber cloth to dry it off, and admire the shine of a seemingly brand new stainless steel surface!

These simple cleaning tips can give your home cleaning a major upgrade. Plus, they don’t take too much time and effort and can easily be fitted into those fifteen minutes you’ve got free.
